Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
For Muscle and Joint Pain, Trigger Point Pain, Fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also known as cold laser therapy or photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses low-intensity lasers to stimulate cellular function and promote healing in the body. The term “low-level” refers to the intensity of the laser, which is not strong enough to heat the tissues.

It improves the body’s functionality overall in the following ways:

  • Relieves pain

  • Increases blood flow

  • Accelerated wound and tissue healing

  • Promotes tissue repair and softens scar tissue

  • Reduces inflammation and oxidative damage

If you're exploring low level laser therapy or photobiomodulation therapy near me, this safe and versatile therapy is ideal for those seeking a drug-free, evidence-supported path to pain relief, healing, and overall well-being.

How does Low Level Laser Therapy work for pain relief and tissue repair?

Our Low Level Lasers use 660nm, 820nm, 880nm & 950nm Wavelengths.

They work by delivering low-level light energy to the cells, which stimulates the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a molecule that is essential for cellular energy metabolism. This, in turn, enhances the cells’ ability to repair and regenerate themselves. Laser Therapy relieves stiffness promoting relaxation of muscle tissue, and increases local blood circulation.

For LLLT we use the Class 3b Omega 4ML Biotherapy Soft Tissue Laser System from the UK, who have more than 25 years of research, developing and manufacturing experience in low level laser therapy.

This therapy is suitable for clients who have tried conventional treatments but, are still looking for additional support. It can be a very successful second line treatment for patients who fail to respond to other conservative treatments.

Contraindications or situations in which (LLLT) may be inappropriate include:

  • Treatment over air-filled tissue (lung, gut)

  • Pregnancy

  • Presence of local tumour or infection

  • Less than 12 weeks since local corticosteroid injection

  • Age less than 18

  • Treatment of pre-ruptured tendons

  • Blood-clotting disorders, including local thrombosis

  • Have cancer or infection to the treatment area

  • Are diagnosed with epilepsy

  • Have a cardiac pacemaker or other cardiac device

  • Have an infection in the treatment area

Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is treatment that falls outside of mainstream healthcare. The availability of CAM on the NHS is limited, and in most cases the NHS will not offer such treatments. When a non-mainstream practice is used together with conventional medicine, it's considered "complementary. Complementary therapies are adjunctive: They are used in addition to, not instead of, standard medical care. Complementary therapists are not trained or authorized to diagnose medical conditions. They are trained to recognize "red flag" symptoms and refer patients to appropriate medical professionals when necessary. It's important to remember that Complimentary therapists are not medical doctors and cannot diagnose medical conditions in the same way that a doctor can.
